The Diocesan Stewardship Council has been going through a period of formation over the past few months in preparation to launch the Stewardship Mission. In a commendable ongoing weekly commitment, this group of people from various parish communities characterizes the call to a Stewardship of life with their simplicity and dedication. None are experts in any area of Church life but they share a common love for the Church and a burning desire to work for its development. In the words of Martin Luther King Jr., this emphasizes the Stewardship reality that you don’t have to have a college degree of serve. You don’t have to make your subject and your verb agree to serve. You don’t have to know about Plato and Aristotle to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love. We can all be stewards of the abundance and beauty that God has given us. Jesus as we know called people from different walks of life to his side. Today is no different! All, regardless of the differences of race or status, are called to be disciples and stewards of the Lord Jesus.
