The parishioners the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Brickdam, Georgetown, gathered on 12th July, 2009 at the auditorium of Marian Academy for their Parish Stewardship Conference. After three short presentations by the members of the Diocesan Stewardship Council the participants went into the various classrooms for the group discussion sessions. The three sessions were aimed at affirming that each Christian is called to discipleship patterned on the life of Jesus and therefore is a steward of the Church and in the various places where they find themselves in the world.
After the lunch break participants gathered for a session examining how parishioners share their time, talent and resources with the community. Participants also learnt the benefits of being a stewardship parish. To close the day they were asked to share the difficulties and dreams of the parish. Mass was celebrated by His Lordship Bishop Francis Alleyne, OSB.
