The annual Retreat for Sunday School Catechists will be held on Sunday 7th September at Marian Academy, Carifesta Avenue beginning at 9:00 a.m.
Persons who wish to become members of our Church are invited to register to join the R.C.I.A. Process. The R.C.I.A. is for all adults who wish to become Roman Catholic as well as for Catholics who have never been confirmed.
This year’s Diocesan Senior Summer Camp for youths 19 years and upwards is scheduled to be held at Camp Kayuka from August 29th to 31st. The registration cost is $3,000 per participant. Interested youths can uplift registration forms from the Parish Secretary.
The St. Peter Apostle Second Collection will be taken up at Mass on Sunday July 27th .The proceeds of the Collection will be used to support the formation of seminarians and candidates for religious life throughout the world especially in mission territories.
Parishioners are reminded of the Annual Parish Fair hosted by the Cathedral Parish to be held on Saturday July 26th 2013 at 3:00 p.m. on the Parish Grounds, Brickdam. Tickets cost $100 each. All are invited to come and share in an afternoon of fun and good family entertainment.
All parishioners are invited to attend a Revival Mission organized by the Catholic Men’s Ministry on Monday 30th June and Tuesday 1st July at 6:00 p.m. at the Cathedral, Brickdam. Presenters will include Catholic Evangelists Richard and Donna Layne of the U.S.A.
Guyana's first ever Documentary Production Competition, the Loyola Documentary Film Festival 2014 which was launched in December 2013 by the Catholic Media Office will close with the Screening and Award Ceremony to be held at the Umana Yana on July 11, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. with cocktails.
This year’s Diocesan summer camps have been scheduled to run from 4th to 9th August 2014.
Jesuit scholarships for tertiary education are now being offered. To be eligible, persons must be able and willing to commit to the service of the community and should have applied to a national vocational or tertiary institution of higher education or already attending one.
